Overview
An established healthcare provider is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead its Emergency Department. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone with a strong background in emergency nursing and management, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Emergency Department nursing team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, fostering efficient resource utilization
- Implement and uphold human resource management practices within the department
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency nursing, with up to 5 years total experience relevant to the role
- Previous management experience in a healthcare setting
- Current South Carolina RN license
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficient in fiscal management and knowledgeable in HR management
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong decision-making skills
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
