Overview

A well-regarded community hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Nocturnist to join its close-knit emergency department. This full-time night role offers a stable, structured environment with strong internal clinical support, a manageable annual hourly requirement of 1,456 Required Clinical Hours Annually, and a collaborative, family-like medical staff culture.

What you'll do

• Serve as the solo attending Emergency Medicine Physician on-site during night hours, directing patient care and managing acute presentations with full clinical autonomy
• Work alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who provide dedicated night-time overlap coverage to streamline patient throughput
• Support a high-functioning community Emergency Department seeing approximately 28,000 patient visits annually
• Utilize the Meditech EMR platform, currently supported by a human scribe model with a planned future transition to AI scribes to reduce administrative charting burdens

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine Residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Emergency Medicine strictly required (Family Practice certifications cannot be accepted for this night role)
• Active Ohio state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain) and valid DEA registration

Compensation and benefits
