Overview
A large, well-established law firm is expanding its Banking & Finance practice and seeks a skilled Banking & Finance Associate Attorney. This role provides exposure to complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions, working alongside a collaborative team recognized for technical excellence and client-focused service across private credit, structured finance, syndicated lending, distressed financings, receivables financings, and growth capital transactions.
What you'll do
- Represent credit funds and other lenders and/or borrowers and sponsors in domestic and international financing transactions
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related transaction documentation
- Support transactions involving receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit, syndicated credit facilities, structured finance, and distressed situations
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless client service
- Manage deal execution from initial diligence through closing
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
- 4-6 years of substantive experience in structured finance and secured lending at a major law firm
- Experience representing credit funds and other lenders, and/or borrowers and sponsors in a broad range of financings, including receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit lending, distressed financings and syndicated facilities
- Familiarity with structured credit, receivables financings, distressed financings, and growth capital transactions
- Experience collaborating with clients in the private credit and special situations space, focusing on liability management through receivables financing and other structures designed to provide liquidity to financially distressed companies
- Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
- Large law firm experience strongly preferred

- Annual base salary range of $260,000-$390,000, as determined by experience and market factors
