Location: Greensboro, North Carolina | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000

Overview

A civil engineering firm serving residential, commercial, and industrial land development clients is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to join its Greensboro, North Carolina team. This role focuses on privately funded site civil design projects, with an emphasis on storm-water analysis and design, and will provide leadership and support to the current team while reporting directly to senior management.

What you'll do

• Provide support and leadership for the current engineering team
• Report directly to senior management
• Manage multiple projects and plan work efficiently
• Perform site civil design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Conduct storm-water analysis and design
• Perform earthwork analysis and storm-water management design

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• PE License or ability to obtain PE within 12 months
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Land Development
• Ability to manage multiple projects and plan work efficiently
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficient with earthwork analysis and storm-water management design
• Microsoft Office software proficiency
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication skills, team player
• Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently but also within a team environment
• Goal-oriented within a team environment with attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

• Local, State and Federal Permitting experience
• Site construction supervision and management experience
• Feasibility analysis, due-diligence, cost estimates, and budgeting experience
• Land surveying knowledge and understanding
• Grading and Erosion Control Plans experience
• Stormwater management and design experience
• Effective time management and assignment of duties

Compensation and benefits

• Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000
