Location: Columbus, OH (Local candidates only) | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 per year (open for discussion, dependent on experience) + Performance & Signing Bonuses

Overview

An employee-owned construction firm in the Columbus, OH area is seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from initial site setup through final close-out. This role is ideal for an independent worker who can manage multiple projects concurrently while building strong relationships with clients, tradesmen, and community stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Drive the successful, cost-effective execution of commercial developments while managing multiple projects concurrently
• Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive construction schedules
• Direct and train on-site personnel, manage daily performance, and proactively resolve on-site issues
• Serve as the primary point of contact, communicating with owners, design professionals, property staff, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and tradesmen
• Act as a dedicated customer sponsor to ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong business relationships
• Stand, walk, and sit frequently
• Talk, hear, see, and use hands to handle materials regularly
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crawl, or lift/move up to 25 lbs. (reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions)

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in construction, with proven Project Manager experience in commercial construction
• A 4-year degree with 2–4 years of related PM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
• Must submit a commercial project list alongside your application
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly master Procore
• Strong ability to read complex financial and legal documents, establish facts, and solve problems independently
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
