Overview
An established, decades-old company in the interconnect and electronic components industry is expanding its West Region sales team. This organization has maintained an entrepreneurial spirit and close-knit culture throughout its long history. They are seeking a dynamic Field Applications Engineer to drive revenue growth by working directly with engineering-level customers to deliver technical interconnect solutions.
What you'll do
- Generate revenue through solicitation and acquisition of orders across the West Region territory
- Collaborate with existing and potential customers at the engineering level to understand technical requirements and provide interconnect solutions
- Develop accounts to support the West Region sales team and pursue new business opportunities in the pipeline
- Drive sales growth in defined accounts and territory to achieve assigned sales goals
- Utilize strong communication skills to support sales initiatives
- Assist the sales team in mining defined accounts for additional orders
- Develop technical expertise on products and applications to maximize sales efforts
- Communicate sales opportunities and provide further technical support
- Participate in industry trade events as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing technical customer support
- At least 3 years of direct industry experience selling electronic components for medical devices or industrial markets
- Up to 40% travel
- Excellent communication skills; structured and self-motivated
- Fully remote position; candidates must reside in CA (preferred), AZ, or NV
Compensation and benefits
- Base $95K-$110K plus bonus
