Overview

An international law firm with a leading Technology Transactions Practice Group is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to work on high-impact intellectual property and commercial transactions for cutting-edge technology clients across the globe.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of technology and IP agreements, including software, tech, and content licensing
• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex IP and technology-related agreements, including licensing, development, services, distribution, and strategic partnerships
• Handle the IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity financing transactions
• Manage multiple deal streams in a fast-paced environment

Required qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Coursework in IP, technology, and/or commercial law
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
• 3–6 years of substantive experience with intellectual property (IP) and commercial transactions in a law firm setting
• Demonstrated experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex IP and technology-related agreements
• Experience handling the IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity financing transactions
• Ability to manage multiple deal streams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent research, writing, analysis, and communication skills, strong business acumen, and meticulous attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

• Interest in, or experience with, artificial intelligence is advantageous
• Technical background strongly preferred, such as a Science Degree or experience working with technology (Computer Science, Computer Programming, Engineering, etc.)
