Location: Buckeye Lake, OH | Schedule: full time (.8 FTE), on-site | Compensation: starting at $29hr, increasing with experience

Overview

A highly regarded regional hospital known for its commitment to exceptional patient care is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join its clinical nutrition team. Located in a scenic rural area of east central Ohio with easy access to nearby metropolitan amenities, this organization is dedicated to building healthcare teams that consistently exceed patient and community expectations.

What you'll do

  • Provide nutrition counseling, nutritional care plans, nutritional assessments, and nutrition education programs for a diverse patient population
  • Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop nutritional plans of care
  • Screen and evaluate patients for nutritional risk
  • Complete diet and food-drug interaction instructions
  • Attend Care Conferences to address patients' nutritional needs
  • Document nutritional needs of high-risk patients in a timely manner, including holidays and weekends
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Participate in mandatory in-service meetings (e.g., TB testing, safety, HIPAA)
  • Report to the Director of the department

Required qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian, licensed in the state of Ohio
  • Prior clinical experience required
  • Knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • Prior experience teaching and counseling nutrition therapy required
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to explain moderately detailed information to a diverse population
  • Ability to accurately take and record measurements and readings

Compensation and benefits
