Overview
A healthcare facility serving the Lake Forest, IL area is seeking a contract Radiologic Technologist to perform general x-rays supporting Rheumatology, Orthopedics, and Spine patients. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, safe, and timely diagnostic imaging for patients across all age groups.
What you'll do
- Position patients and equipment and select appropriate technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist standards in a safe, timely manner
- Perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure accurate information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv
- 1+ years experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R) (ARRT)
- IEMA
- Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
- Ability to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Pay range: 55-65hr ($55,000-$65,000 range)
