Location: McDonough, GA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd shift

Overview

An established manufacturer in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical sector is seeking a Packaging Production Supervisor to lead its 2nd shift production team. This role is central to maintaining safety, efficiency, and morale on the production floor while ensuring the plant meets its output and quality goals.

What you'll do

• Provide team leadership to production employees, overseeing staffing levels and morale
• Organize and lead employee training to ensure staff are qualified on all production operations, safety procedures, company SOPs, and GMPs
• Resolve conflicts and manage disciplinary actions as needed
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to keep equipment fully operational and running at maximum efficiency
• Maintain targeted production efficiency for individual lines and contribute to overall plant efficiency
• Foster open communication between employees and support departments
• Implement the organization's operational and organizational principles
• Coach the production team to set performance measures and achieve business results
• Hold regular communication meetings with team leaders and production staff to recognize successes and resolve open issues
• Analyze production reports and data to identify adverse trends and develop corrective action plans

Required qualifications

• Prior experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Strong lean manufacturing background

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
