Overview

A construction company specializing in large-scale data center builds is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on a major project. This role is central to ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, serving as the key liaison between the project team and the client.

What you'll do

• Lead administration of the project's safety program
• Ensure superintendents have necessary trades, materials, and equipment for efficient construction
• Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support schedule and scope commitments
• Perform and oversee project-specific QA/QC practices to meet specifications and quality standards
• Complete and communicate daily progress reports to all stakeholders
• Conduct site walk-throughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and standards compliance
• Identify and resolve field and design issues
• Lead coordination meetings and manage labor concerns
• Represent the site team in owners' meetings
• Develop and maintain the site logistics plan with the General Superintendent
• Develop scopes of work for each subcontractor
• Perform constructability reviews
• Arrange and lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before each phase
• Track field progress against the plan and assist in developing recovery plans as needed
• Ensure quality control aligns with the established project quality assurance program
• Schedule and lead the project close-out process
• Coordinate punch list items and procedures
• Manage the project permit process
• Participate in strategic planning, including VDC
• Demonstrate the company's core values and principles
• Refuse unsafe work and follow established Safety Procedures and Work Practices
• Report incidents, near misses, and hazards to management
• Wear and maintain required personal PPE
• Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations
• Participate in workplace inspections and required safety training
• Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care
• Attend and contribute to prestart and safety meetings
• Assist in administering the site safety program and ensure Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and applicable safety codes
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years construction management experience
• Experience managing trades valued at $50MM
• Experience with large/complex safety plan implementation
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project
• Proven track record of organizing project teams to accomplish project goals
• Effective negotiation and contract management skills to represent the company with the client
• Experience managing projects using established cost reporting methods, including cash flow, safety, cost, schedule, and VDC
• Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction
• Understanding of contract types and terms, including General Conditions, Burn Rates, and Fee Analysis
• Understanding of various insurance programs, including SDI, BR policies, OCIP, and CCIP

Preferred qualifications

• Undergraduate university degree or higher, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field (other relevant education, training, or work experience may substitute)
• PMP certification preferred
