Overview
A leading management-side labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced associate to work on sophisticated employment matters for a diverse client base, including complex wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation, with meaningful responsibility, client interaction, and collaboration within a high-performing employment law team.
What you'll do
- Represent employers in wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation matters
- Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution
- Advise clients on compliance with evolving California and federal employment laws
- Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
- Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and preparation of discovery responses
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and settlement documentation
- Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
- 3-6 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
- Significant experience handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters, including matters in state and federal courts
- Strong background advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience is required
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments
Preferred qualifications
- Prior large or sophisticated law firm experience preferred

- Competitive salary range: $250,000 – $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
