Environmental Engineer – Plant Level

Overview
A large, unionized manufacturing plant is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its site EHS team. This role supports environmental compliance activities and reports directly to the Plant EHS Manager, playing a key part in ensuring the facility meets regulatory obligations.
What you'll do
- Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management
- Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulations
- Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities
- Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Agencies
- Coordinate all environmental sampling, reporting, and follow-up
- Prepare and submit required reports and maintain associated recordkeeping
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of plant environmental experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field
- Experience with either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management
