Overview
An international labor and employment law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its Labor Relations & Employment Practice in Denver. This role offers the opportunity to advise and advocate for employers on a wide range of traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, contract administration, grievance arbitration, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
What you'll do
- Represent employers in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration
- Handle grievance arbitration proceedings and related labor disputes
- Defend and prosecute unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB
- Provide strategic counseling to clients on traditional labor matters and compliance issues
- Support litigation matters involving labor relations and employment disputes
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to deliver efficient and effective legal solutions
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Colorado, in good standing
- 7+ years of traditional labor law experience
- Extensive experience in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining and contract administration
- Grievance arbitration experience with the ability to handle matters independently
- Strong writing, analytical, and research skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; strong communication and organizational skills
- Resume, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample (10 pages max, substantially unedited by others) required for consideration
Preferred qualifications
- Candidates with mixed employment litigation and some labor experience will also be considered
- Experience defending and prosecuting unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB strongly preferred
Compensation and benefits
- Annual base salary expected to range from $210,000 – $230,000, based on experience, qualifications, and market factors
- Eligibility for bonuses and profit-sharing
