Overview

An international labor and employment law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its Labor Relations & Employment Practice in Denver. This role offers the opportunity to advise and advocate for employers on a wide range of traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, contract administration, grievance arbitration, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

What you'll do

  • Represent employers in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration
  • Handle grievance arbitration proceedings and related labor disputes
  • Defend and prosecute unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB
  • Provide strategic counseling to clients on traditional labor matters and compliance issues
  • Support litigation matters involving labor relations and employment disputes
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to deliver efficient and effective legal solutions

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Colorado, in good standing
  • 7+ years of traditional labor law experience
  • Extensive experience in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining and contract administration
  • Grievance arbitration experience with the ability to handle matters independently
  • Strong writing, analytical, and research skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; strong communication and organizational skills
  • Resume, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample (10 pages max, substantially unedited by others) required for consideration

Preferred qualifications

  • Candidates with mixed employment litigation and some labor experience will also be considered
  • Experience defending and prosecuting unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB strongly preferred

Compensation and benefits

  • Annual base salary expected to range from $210,000 – $230,000, based on experience, qualifications, and market factors
  • Eligibility for bonuses and profit-sharing
