Overview
A Critical Access Hospital in rural Eastern Oregon is seeking a Cardiologist to join its growing specialty team. This is a permanent, full-time position working Four 10-Hour Days on day shift, based in La Grande, OR, offering the chance to build a meaningful cardiology practice while enjoying an exceptional outdoor lifestyle and strong work-life balance. What you'll do
- Provide high-quality outpatient and consultative inpatient cardiovascular care
- Perform and interpret non-invasive studies including Echo, Stress testing, and EKG/Holter monitoring
- Manage long-term cardiac conditions for the local population
- Supervise stress testing in the co-located Respiratory Therapy department
- Interpret cardiac imaging, ECGs, and device interrogation reports
- Manage implantable cardiac devices
- Perform minor procedures including implantation/removal of loop recorders, cardioversion, and TEE
- Partner with primary care providers and the hospitalist team to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Help shape the future of cardiac services within a growing rural healthcare system
What you'll need
- MD from an accredited school
- Completion of an accredited Cardiology Fellowship
- Active, unrestricted State Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Strong skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a community-oriented environment
Compensation and benefits
- Compensation: $600K - $670K+ per year
- Competitive total compensation opportunity (670k+) including quality incentives up to $70k
- RVU bonus based on annual threshold
- Commencement bonus of $70k
- $8,000 annual CME, licensing, dues, subscription, plus paid CME time
