Location: Plainview, NY (Suffolk County, Long Island) | Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, flexible hours, no call | Compensation: $500K-$700K per year

Overview

A well-established, physician-led cardiac care group in Suffolk County, Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join its growing team. What you'll do

  • Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
  • Manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices
  • Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that promote long-term heart health
  • Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice
  • Mentor clinical trainees including students, physician extenders, and interns
  • Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines
  • Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects
  • Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives

Required qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Cardiology
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus
