Location: Plainview, NY (Suffolk County, Long Island) | Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, flexible hours, no call | Compensation: $500K-$700K per year
Overview
A well-established, physician-led cardiac care group in Suffolk County, Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join its growing team. What you'll do
- Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices
- Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that promote long-term heart health
- Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice
- Mentor clinical trainees including students, physician extenders, and interns
- Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines
- Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives
Required qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Cardiology
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus
