Overview
A boutique CPA firm serving high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses with tax compliance, planning, and advisory services is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. Known for professionalism and personalized client service, the firm needs an experienced public accounting professional who can prepare and review returns, identify planning opportunities, and manage client relationships with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including individual, partnership, and S-corporation returns
- Manage tax engagements and help ensure timely, accurate filings
- Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients
- Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, planning needs, document requests, and tax notices
- Research tax issues, interpret regulations, and support client-specific recommendations
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting support as needed
- Maintain organized workpapers, documentation, and client files
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Knowledge of federal and California tax law
- Proficiency with tax software, Excel, and related accounting tools
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and client-service skills
Preferred qualifications
- CPA license preferred
- Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses
- Bookkeeping and accounting support experience
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary around $90,000-$120,000
