Location: Tyler, TX | Schedule: Full-time, on-site with up to 25% travel

Overview

A large manufacturing operation with an on-site plant and three distribution centers is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental engineering, compliance, and sustainability efforts across its facilities. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance and driving sustainable operational practices at scale.

What you'll do

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for all environmental engineering, compliance, and sustainability activities across a large manufacturing plant and three distribution centers
• Directly supervise a team including three Environmental Engineers, an Environmental Technician, and an hourly environmental team
• Oversee technical compliance in air permitting (including Title V and PSD/NSR permits), water management, and waste management
• Travel up to 25% as needed to support environmental operations across sites
• Report directly to the General Manager on environmental program status and strategy

Required qualifications

• Proven experience managing a complex environmental program at a plant level
• Proven experience managing environmental professionals and teams
• Strong technical expertise in air permitting, including Title V and PSD/NSR permits
• Technical expertise in water and waste management
• Strong leadership and management skills
